Six Sentence Sunday 03/04/2012

Okay, not sure if I’m going to continue this one or switch to another after this, but here’s one more shot of Drag.Race, sequel to Fae Eye for the Golem Guy and What Not to Fear.

“Tee, you work the night shift with Tama.  It’s one in the afternoon; what are you doing here… For that matter, where is he?”

If his revelation that she was up well into her night surprised her, it didn’t show; she just stood there for a bit, quietly, before speaking.  “I do not know where Tama-sensei is; he entrusted me with cleaning the Balcony Gallery, the Dynamic in the center of the Gallery was unappreciated, so  I was appreciating it.  I am sorry I did not complete the cleaning of the Balcony; I will go and complete it now.”

  1. I don’t quite know what’s going with the story, but I love how different the speech patterns of the second speaker are. And the titles of your works are great.

    • Thanks!
I do try to follow a naming theme with each of my series. In the case of Artifice, I went with plays on the names of fashion and makeover shows, at least in part because the first one was inspired by watching back-to-back marathons of Pimp My Ride and Project Runway.

  2. I’m so curious about what’s going on here. Well done!

  3. Just an FYI for those who are curious – Fae Eye for the Golem Guy, first in this series, is up for FREE on Amazon this week!

  4. I love the distinct voices and focus of each of the characters, and that Tee recognized the lonliness of the Dynamic. I don’t know what a Dynamic is, but my impression is that it’s an inanimate object (by human definitions). Very nicely done. I’m going to have to snag of copy of Fae Eye for the Golem Guy. Thanks for letting us know about it.
