I’ve been tagged by PJ Schnyder, and I need to move on to a new SSS WIP, methinks, so here’s one last dose of Drag.Race to tide you over until it’s nearer completion!
The rules:
Go to page 77 of your current WiP. Go to line 7. Copy down the next 7 lines/sentences, and post them as they’re written. No cheating. Tag 7 other sadists, I mean writers.
Here’s the lines from Drag.Race, book 3 of the Artfice series:
“Sir, I’m not sure your attire meets the minimum requirement.”
The Warden waved her pen to take in his jacket, pants, and shoes. He cocked his head and stared at her. The pounding in his head ate away at his temper, and he was in no mood to play games with Sammy’s flunky. She glared at him, but he’d looked into the eyes of the Morrigan’s daughter and laughed. Her pique slid off of him like water. After a few moments, she looked down at the list.
“Your name, sir?”
And now to Tag, in no particular order, and like PJ I’ve no idea if they’ll play:
and finally, because she makes such a great Caboose (make of that what you will)…
“…that came and went hazily through the clouds were of no use to him. He was not sufficiently knowledgeable about Earth’s geography. What he really knew of Earth were its underground Cities, its caves of steel. The bits of coastline he saw were unfamiliar to him–whether Aurora or Earth, he did not know. Why this uncertainty…”

Strangely, I’ve never read it before and thought it was about time I did, being a scifi writer and all that jazz!
