His proclamation made, the old man fell into another fit of coughing. This time there was blood in the phlegm that flew from his lips.  His eyes did not close, not once as he hacked his life away.  When finally he lay still and silent, glassy eyes staring at the ceiling, Alondra lifted shaking hands and drew the silk across his face one final time.

  2. I love the opening you used for this six. Not only did it make me chuckle, it also made me wonder about the relationship the two share, thier back story, and whether or not the the line was meant to be a jest, insult, or genuine desire. Nice job!
